SAN PEDRO, CA— On the heels of earning endorsements from several groups who represent working men and women, today Rep. Janice Hahn scored a sought-after endorsement from California’s State Senator Ricardo Lara.
Senator Lara is the immediate past Chair of the California Latino Legislative Caucus, and represents a significant portion of L.A. County’s 4th Supervisorial district in the State Senate, including the cities of Long Beach, Signal Hill, Lakewood, and Paramount.
Widely acknowledged as one of the most influential members of the State Senate, Lara Chairs the powerful Appropriations Committee and serves as a member of the State Senate's Energy, Utilities and Communications, Governance and Finance, Governmental Organization, and Banking and Financial Institutions committees.
“I’ve always admired Janice Hahn’s ability to focus on the basics and deliver for her constituents, regardless of how global the issues are that she’s working on in Washington. That’s precisely the work ethic and mentality that we need from our next Supervisor. The 4th district needs a representative with a global perspective but who also prioritizes the needs of local neighborhoods. Janice Hahn embodies this description and more. I’m pleased to strongly endorse Janice Hahn for County Supervisor.”
