SAN PEDRO, CA— Marking a major milestone in her campaign, today United States Representative Janice Hahn landed a forceful endorsement from Los Angeles County Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas in her bid to represent the County’s 4th District. Supervisor Ridley-Thomas’ endorsement gives Rep. Hahn a full majority of support among the members of the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors; she has also been endorsed by Supervisors Hilda Solis and Sheila Kuehl.

In announcing his support of Rep. Janice Hahn, Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas declared:

“I’ve known Janice Hahn for years, stemming from our time together on the Los Angeles City Council. Janice is someone I have always admired for her tenacity, compassion, and drive for public service, especially when it comes to serving as an advocate for working people, disadvantaged communities, quality education, women’s healthcare, access to affordable healthcare, job creation, small businesses and disadvantaged communities. Her extensive experience in local and federal office makes her well-prepared to represent the County’s 4th District. This is an exciting time for the Board of Supervisors, when bold leadership and a shared progressive vision can bring about real change for the people whom we have the privilege to serve. I look forward to having Janice as a partner in that important work. I’m proud to endorse Janice Hahn for Supervisor.”

In recent days, Rep. Hahn has been on a major winning streak, securing endorsements from United States Senator Dianne Feinstein, former Los Angeles County Supervisor Yvonne Burke, and the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE).

Unlike any other candidate running for Los Angeles County Supervisor this cycle, Rep. Janice Hahn has consolidated unprecedented and far-reaching support ranging from the Los Angele County Democratic Party to Republican former Los Angeles Mayor Richard Riordan, to myriad labor and business groups and leaders, public safety organizations, women’s groups, environmentalists, grassroots activists and neighborhood leaders, among numerous others.
