KEY BUSINESS GROUP ENDORSES JANICE HAHN FOR SUPERVISOR

SAN PEDRO, CA— Today the San Pedro Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors announced their endorsement of Rep. Janice Hahn in the race for Los Angeles County Supervisor, Fourth District.

“Congresswoman Janice Hahn brings a deep understanding of our community having represented us both as a Los Angeles City Councilwoman and as our Congresswoman.  She has been at the forefront of Port and transportation issues, which are critical to the economy and future of San Pedro.  As co-founder of the PORTS caucus, a bi-partisan group, Hahn has increased awareness and attention around trade and infrastructure issues and her work on the Small Business Committee illustrates her commitment to helping small businesses grow and succeed.  We look forward to continuing our partnership with her in order to better assist our business community and to help promote job creation”
-- San Pedro Chamber of Commerce President/CEO Elise Swanson

Along with Republican Rep. Ted Poe, Rep. Janice Hahn co-founded the bi-partisan Congressional Ports Opportunity, Renewal, Trade, and Security (PORTS) Caucus to raise awareness about the critical importance of our nation’s Ports. She has worked on a bi-partisan basis to bring together nearly 100 lawmakers from all across the political spectrum to promote, strengthen and improve America’s ports.

Currently, Rep. Hahn is working across party lines to advance the National Freight Network Trust Fund Act. This bill aims to increase investment in Port and freight network infrastructure without raising taxes and simultaneously ensures that our Ports are operating at maximum efficiency, staying competitive, and creating tens of thousands of good paying jobs for folks all across America.

Beyond today’s announcement, Rep. Janice Hahn has garnered early, far-reaching support from numerous leaders and organizations.
