SAN PEDRO, CA— Continuing to rake-in important endorsements in her campaign for L.A. County Supervisor District 4, today United States Representative Janice Hahn earned a formidable endorsement from the esteemed former L.A. County Supervisor, Yvonne Burke.
Significantly, Burke was the first African American woman to represent the West Coast in the United States Congress, where she served from 1973- 1978. Following her time in Washington, D.C., Burke served on the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors representing the 2nd District from 1992-2008.
In endorsing Rep. Janice Hahn, former L.A. County Supervisor Yvonne Burke released the following statement:
