SAN PEDRO, CA— Maintaining her edge in the race for Los Angeles County's 4thSupervisorial district seat, today Rep. Janice Hahn won a key endorsement from Los Angeles City Councilman & former LAPD Senior Lead Officer Joe Buscaino.

As the Council Member from L.A.’s 15th district, Buscaino represents the harbor communities of San Pedro, Wilmington, and Harbor City, all of which overlap with L.A. County’s 4th Supervisorial district.

On the City Council, Buscaino Chairs the powerful Public Works & Gang Reduction Committee. As Chair, Buscaino is tasked with oversight of the City’s gang reduction efforts, and the Department of Public Works. Buscaino’s other committee assignments include Public Safety, Trade, Commerce & Tourism, Housing, and Arts, Parks, Health, Aging & River. In addition, Councilman Buscaino serves as L.A. Mayor Eric Garcetti's appointee to the South Coast Air Quality Management District.
"Janice Hahn has been a friend, mentor and ally to me even before I entered elected office. As my predecessor, she knows the challenges we face in Los Angeles’ 15th Council District and beyond and knows how to fight for our community. Whether its regional economic development, jobs or environmental protection, I know that we can tag team on any issue to make progress for the residents we represent. I am happy to endorse Janice in her campaign for County Supervisor and look forward to having her back home, working on improving the daily lives of the people of Los Angeles County.”
