Endorsement from SEIU Local 721 Reflects Across-the Board Consensus Among Working Men & Women for Janice Hahn’s Bid to Represent L.A. County’s 4th District
SAN PEDRO, CA— Continuing to rally support from working people in her campaign to represent Los Angeles County’s 4th District on the Board of Supervisors, today U.S. Representative Janice Hahn garnered a powerful endorsement from the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 721.
Hahn, a former member of the Los Angeles Charter Reform Commission, past member of the Los Angeles City Council, and current member of the U.S. House of Representatives, has amassed an unrivaled list of endorsements from over 400 individuals and organizations, including from: small business owners, working families, women’s organizations, environmentalists and conservation groups, business organizations, veterans, public safety groups, grassroots activists, neighborhood leaders, local, state and federal elected officials, both Democrats and Republicans, among myriad others.
In expressing her gratitude for SEIU Local 721's endorsement, Rep. Janice Hahn released the following statement:
“SEIU Local 721 is an organization that represents real people who work at the County— nurses, social workers, court reporters, sanitation workers, health science professionals, building custodians, librarians and more. They serve on the frontlines and as the face of residents’ daily interactions with the County. Their support fills me with a deep sense of pride and honor to know that they believe I’m the best candidate to represent the 4th District and to stand up for working families.”
Recently Rep. Hahn rolled out endorsements from over 100 veterans and the El Segundo Police Officers Association.
