SAN PEDRO, CA—On the heels of earning a key public safety endorsement from the L.A. County Deputy Probation Officers AFSCME Local 685, today Rep. Janice Hahn secured support from two of the 4th Supervisorial district’s most distinguished API leaders: former State Assembly Members Al Muratsuchi and George Nakano.

Muratsuchi previously served in the State Assembly representing the 66th district. Nearly the entire 66th district overlaps with the 4th Supervisorial district. Before serving in the Legislature, Muratsuchi served as a prosecutor and as a Board Trustee on the Torrance Unified School District.
“Janice Hahn has been a strong leader for our region. Whether it’s fighting for more good jobs, helping to establish key environmental protections, or increasing investment in public safety to ensure that our neighborhoods are safe—Janice Hahn understands the issues that matter most to our community. I am pleased to give her my full support.”
-- Al Muratsuchi, State Assemblyman (Ret.) & Torrance Unified School District Board Trustee (Ret.)
Nakano also served in the State Assembly representing a district that had significant overlap with the 4th Supervisorial district. Prior to his time in the state house, Nakano served on the Torrance City Council for 14 years.
“I was proud to endorse Janice Hahn for Congress when she first ran because I believed she would be a bridge builder in Washington. Janice has accomplished that through her co-founding of the bi-partisan PORTS Caucus and by working across the aisle to get things done. Still, I agree with her that Washington is too gridlocked. That’s why I believe strongly that we need her back home serving the County on the Board of Supervisors. Janice Hahn is the best choice and I am once again proud to support her.”
-- George Nakano, State Assemblyman (Ret.) & Torrance City Council Member (Ret.)
