SAN PEDRO, CA—Adding a powerful endorsement to her roster of key supporters, today Rep. Janice Hahn picked up the backing of former California Assembly Speaker and current Congresswoman Karen Bass.

Making history as California's first African American woman to serve as Speaker of the California State Assembly, Rep. Karen Bass has served in Congress since 2010 and currently represents California's 37th district.

“Serving previously as Assembly Speaker and currently as a member of Congress, my primary focus is to help the residents of my district and all of the people who live in Los Angeles County.  I know the struggles and the needs of the many diverse and dynamic neighborhoods that stretch across every corner of L.A. County. That is why I am extremely excited to endorse my good friend and colleague, Congresswoman Janice Hahn, for the Los Angeles County Board of  Supervisors. I have witnessed firsthand her drive, compassion and ability to solve problems. I know that Janice is by far the best candidate to represent the 4th district on the Board. She has my enthusiastic support."
