SAN PEDRO, CA— Marking a major milestone in her campaign, today the former United States Secretary of Labor, Congresswoman, and current Los Angeles County Supervisor Hilda Solis announced her support of Rep. Janice Hahn for Los Angeles County Supervisor district 4.

Prior to being elected to the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, Solis was the first Latina in the United States Cabinet, as U.S. Secretary of Labor. Before serving as Secretary of Labor, Solis represented California’s 32nd district in Congress.
“As a former local City Council Member and current U.S. Representative, Janice Hahn has gained invaluable insights about how to make local and federal government work better for average folks. She’s a proven coalition builder and someone who knows how to get opposing interests to find common ground and move forward on key issues. That’s what we need more of on the Board Supervisors. Plus, Janice is a battle-tested and fearless champion for hard working families. I am very proud to endorse Janice Hahn for L.A. County Supervisor.”

In response, Rep. Janice Hahn stated:
“It is such an honor to have the support of Supervisor Hilda Solis. She is a trailblazer and someone that I have always admired and respected for her strong leadership. There are so many issues that we share a common passion for, whether it’s creating more good paying middle class jobs, investing in our aging infrastructure, making County government more inclusive and accessible, protecting our environment, expanding access to healthcare and dozens more. I sincerely appreciate her support and I’m excited to partner with her.”
Previously Rep. Hahn earned an endorsement from Los Angeles County Supervisor Sheila Kuehl.
